Checklist for Graduating High School Students

What to do when to get ready for your big day of graduating from UNCSA!

January - February

Meet Financial Obligations.  Check in E-Z Arts student portal  if you have any outstanding balances in your Student Account. Only those students who have completed the requirements for their diploma and have satisfied all financial obligations to UNCSA are eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony.

Order cap and gown (optional). Herff Jones website is now available for you to make your graduation cap & gown purchase. If you choose to purchase graduation regalia, please do so early so as to avoid any shipping issues.

March- April

March 7 - Indicated if you have a preferred first name you would like called at the Commencement in place of your legal first name. Complete Graduation Preferred Name form. Completing the form does not make any changes to the student record. 

March 14-April 1: Graduates need to complete ticket information for themselves and indicate the requested number of guests. Commencement ticket form for high school ceremony. Tickets will be emailed.

Rehearsal and Commencement.

Friday, May 13 - Attend in-person commencement rehearsal

Saturday, May 14 - UNCSA High SchoolCommencement at 10 a.m. at the Benton Convention Center. Graduates arrive at 9 a.m.

The 2022 High School Commencement is 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Benton Convention Center in downtown Winston-Salem. Graduates will be allotted guest tickets and the ceremony will be livestreamed for additional access. We will follow all state-mandated guidelines for COVID-19 safety and our Community Health Standards.
