Group exercise classes

The UNCSA Fitness Center offers group exercise classes to enhance student and staff well-being and increase productivity. All classes will be held in the Fitness Center group exercise room. Faculty and staff who are not members may attend classes at no cost; no registration is required.

Trial Schedule of Classes

This a two-week trial class schedule. A regular schedule for the remainder of the semester will be based on class attendance and student interest. Classes begin on Monday, Aug. 27.

Pilates Mat Class with Taryn Griggs
Tuesdays at 5:30–6:30 p.m.
This class makes space for correcting imbalances while improving strength and flexibility. Utilizing traditional Pilates repertoire we will focus on alignment, core strength, finding length without hyperextending and moving with ease. 

Zumba with Tasmin
Tuesdays at 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Move and groove to Merengue, Reggaeton, Cumbia, Bollywood, Soca, Samba, Hip Hop and Flamingo.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Grace Manning
Thursdays at 5:30-6:30 p.m.
As we mindfully integrate movement and breath, this Vinyasa flow class is aimed at all levels. This class will explore sun salutations, balance, and strength as we move through sequences made to challenge and encourage. Enough instruction for beginners, with challenges applicable to the advanced practitioner. Get ready to stretch, strengthen and breathe.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Grace Manning
Saturdays at 11 a.m. - noon
As we mindfully integrate movement and breath, this Vinyasa flow class is aimed at all levels. This class will explore sun salutations, balance, and strength as we move through sequences made to challenge and encourage. Enough instruction for beginners, with challenges applicable to the advanced practitioner. Get ready to stretch, strengthen and breathe.
