Fitness Center

All current students have a membership to the UNCSA Fitness Center. Staff, faculty, family members, retirees, and alumni can apply and pay for membership.

Monday-Thursday: 6:30 a.m.-10 p.m.
Friday: 6:30 a.m.-8 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Sunday: noon-10 p.m.

A variety of fitness classes  are offered weekly. This facility functions as a wellness center providing the means for physical, mental, and emotional well being by providing wellness resources via newsletters and brochures, as well as by providing wellness-related programming to encourage healthy behaviors amongst UNCSA community. Lockers are available to rent in the locker room.

Group Exercise classes

The Fitness Center is a 20,600 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility including a full-size gymnasium with volleyball and basketball standards  goals, a 4,200 sq. ft. weight area with free weights and Cybex® equipment, an Aerobics Studio, and an exclusive abdominal/stretching area. Note: As May 2017, the gymnasium is temporarily being repurposed for classroom and rehearsal spaces due to the renovations of Alex C. Ewing Performance Place. The gymnasium is expected to be reopened in 2019. Weight room and aerobics studio are open.
