Meet Sarah Craven
My name is Sarah Craven and I recently joined the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) as Administrative Project Manager.
I serve both the TLC and the UNCSA Library and Learning Commons. I coordinate processes for Faculty Development Grants, Reassigned Time, and the Excellence in Teaching Awards. I also will be doing space and event management for the Library for special events, meetings and classes. Students will see me as their first point of contact at the front desk in the TLC, for those using the Learning Resources or the Writing Center.
I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre with a minor concentration in Art History from UNCG. I came to UNCSA following a few years freelancing in film costuming and art and antiques acquisitions and as a freelance performer.
Originally, I’m from Greensboro, NC, but recently moved back to this area from Charleston, South Carolina. While there, I was active in the theatre community: acting, producing and costuming several shows with various theatres. My background also includes social networking, hospitality and event planning. I pursued those interests by not only being present in the vibrant restaurant scene but also through the floral industry, designing and installing floral arrangements in several downtown Charleston hotels.
My free time is filled with walking in nature with my dog, Moose, practicing Pilates, listening to all types of music and travel planning.
