The Shalom Project runs programs that challenge the cycle of poverty in our community
with a spirit of inclusion, compassion and justice.
Volunteer opportunities:

unloading food and clothing donations, organizing, packing bags. Food pantry allows
for 6-10 volunteers; the clothing closet allows for five.
Tuesday 9 a.m. to noon: food pantry and clothing closet is open for clients. Assist
with check-in, shopping and distribution; assist clients in carrying items to their
cars as needed. 15-20 volunteers are allowed with social distancing.
Wednesday 1:45-3:30 p.m.: Meal prep for the Welcome Table (currently not in operation
due to COVID).
Wednesday 5-8:30 p.m.: medical clinic assistance: checking patients in, counting pills.
