Fitness Classes

In-person classes are held in the Fitness Center's Group Exercise Studio.

Vinyasa Yoga (Sundays 6-7 p.m. with Faith Fidgeon)

Vinyasa is a style of yoga where you move or flow from one yoga pose to another with your breath. Open to all students, faculty and staff.

Foundations Yoga (Wednesdays 12:15-1:15 p.m. with Elizabeth White)

This class is for beginners or those looking to create or add on to their home yoga practice. Focus will be on alignment poses to maximize benefits and minimize injury. Props are used to assist in the pose alignment and are provided. Open to all students, faculty and staff. Class limited to six to allow for instructional feedback.  Reserve your spot.

Yoga for You (Fridays 11 a.m.-noon with Amy Goins)

Student-only class led by Amy Goins of the UNCSA Counseling Center. Focus on mindful movement, soothing breath work, stress and tension relief and building resilience. No prior yoga experience needed.
