Mistletoe Run

UNCSA will be creating a team for the Mistletoe 2023 race on December 2. The event starts and finishes in downtown Winston-Salem at the William White YMCA. There will be a one-mile fun walk/run, a 5K, and a half-marathon. Chancellor Cole is committed to promoting healthy lifestyle habits for our campus community members. The health and well-being of students, faculty and staff is a critical component of the UNCSA Strategic Plan. Therefore, UNCSA will cover the registration cost for the one-mile and 5K races. There is a $25 fee for those interested in participating in the half-marathon. We encourage you to join our Fighting Pickles team. Whether you are a beginner hoping to complete the one mile course or a seasoned runner, all levels are welcome. See the registration link below. Be sure to choose UNCSA for your team.

The Mistletoe Run is the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina’s largest fundraiser and proceeds benefit the children in our community by funding youth programming.

Fitness Center resources

All students already are members of the Fitness Center. Faculty and staff can purchase discounted memberships. The Fitness Center offers:

Treadmills and gymnasium for indoor running
Weights, elevated platforms and mats for strength and stability training
Pilates classes for low impact complimentary training and core stability and improved running posture
