2022 Mistletoe Run

The campus community is invited to participate in the Dec. 3 YMCA Mistletoe Run – for free. Late registration is available with UNCSA still covering the entry fee*. It’s not too late to recruit your friends and colleague to join you on the run/walk event.

The Mistletoe Run is the YMCA of Northwest North Carolina’s largest fundraiser and proceeds benefit the children in our community by funding youth programming.  

UNCSA will cover the entry fee* and provide transportation for students from campus on race day. Registrants will receive access to training preparation tips. Chancellor Cole is committed to promoting healthy lifestyle habits, including nutrition and fitness. The health and well-being of students, faculty and staff is a critical component of the UNCSA Strategic Plan.

Note: The Fighting Pickles shirts have been ordered for those who registered by Nov. 4. 

Fitness Center resources

All students are members of the Fitness Center. Faculty and staff can purchase discounted memberships. The Fitness Center offers:

  • Treadmills and gymnasium for indoor running
  • Weights, elevated platforms and mats for strength and stability training
  • Pilates classes for low impact complimentary training and core stability and improved running posture

*UNCSA will cover the full registration fee for the 1 Mile Fun Run and 5K. Half-marathon participants will be invoiced a reduced rate from the Mistletoe race organizers.
