I. Purpose
This policy addresses the issue of compensatory time for UNCSA SPA employees exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) who work more than forty hours a week.
II. Scope
This policy applies to all FLSA-exempt SPA employees at UNCSA.
This policy does not apply to SPA and EPA employees who are subject to FLSA.

A. Full-time FLSA-exempt employees are expected to work as many hours as necessary to complete their job.
B. Any FSLA-exempt employee shall not receive compensatory time off for hours worked in excess of forty hours in a workweek.
C. Exceptions to this Policy:
1. Supplemental Pay Policy;
2. Additional Employment Policy; AND
3. Adverse Weather & Emergency Closing Policy
