UNCSA Presents delivers a show for the whole family to enjoy—at the historic Stevens Center in Winston-Salem, for one night only! Based on the bestselling Disney-Hyperion novel by Rick Riordan, "The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical" is “worthy of the gods!” (Time Out New York).

The Greek gods are real, and they’re ruining Percy Jackson’s life. As a son of Poseidon, Percy has newly discovered powers he can’t control, monsters on his trail, and is on an epic quest to find Zeus’s lightning bolt and prevent a war between the gods. With the help of another demigod, Annabeth Chase (daughter of Athena), and his best friend, Grover Underwood (a satyr), Percy’s quest takes the trio on a journey from Camp Half-Blood in New York to the Underworld in Los Angeles. Normal is a myth when you’re a demigod.

This exuberant, funny, fast-paced, coming-of-age tale about finding your place in the world is entertaining for mere mortals, and filled with things to love for the most ardent of demigod fans.

Nominated for three Drama Desk Awards® including Best Musical.
