Three successful UNCSA alumni return to Winston-Salem to perform as the UNCSA New
York Alumni Quintet. The quintet is composed of alumnus Rion Wentworth, double bass,
and Leah Ferguson, viola, of the New York Philharmonic; alumnus Sam Magill, cello,
of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra; alumna Naho Tsutsui-Parrini, violin, of the Bloomingdale
School of Music; and Rebecca Anderson, violin.
The quintet will perform UNCSA faculty member Kenneth Frazelle’s “Elegy for Strings,” avant-garde composer Carlos Chàvez’ “Quartet No. 2” and Dvořák’s
exuberant “Quintet Op. 77.”
