Sam Nemec

Join faculty-artists, students and guest oboist Sam Nemec of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra for an afternoon of exquisite Baroque music, highlighted by Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 5.

Collaborators include Ida Bieler and Kevin Lawrence, violins; Jaren Atherholt, oboe; Tadeu Coelho, flute; Dmitri Shteinberg, piano; Paul Sharpe, Double Bass; and student soloists Roni Shitrit, Raphael Papo, Jose Olea-Vico and Austen Speare. Nemec, who joined the Atlanta Symphony as second oboe in 2012, is a graduate of Juilliard and the Curtis Institute.

  • Tomaso Albinoni Concerto for 2 Oboes, Op. 10, No. 9
  • Antonio Vivaldi Concerto for 4 violins in B minor, RV 580
  • Johann Sebastian Bach Concerto for Oboe and Violin, BWV 1060
  • Johann Sebastian Bach Brandenburg Concerto No. 5, BWV 1050
