Overview
Join us for an immersive video installation by UNCSA Filmmaking faculty Shahin Gorgani. The installation explores memories and dreams through the lens of Iranian culture, with elements of poetry, landscape, music, dance and food.
Gorgani is a versatile artist with a deep understanding of Iranian culture. He has performed in concerts with Grammy-nominated Keyhan Kalhor and the Shamss Ensemble at Lincoln Center and Davies Symphony Hall. Gorgani has served on the jury for the Guadalajara International Film Festival and has previously taught at California Institute of the Arts where he also holds M.F.A. in film directing.
The installation will be presented at the Creative Community Lab from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 19-21. Admission is free. This project was produced by METL: The Media + Emerging Technology Lab at the School of Filmmaking. This event is sponsored, in part, by the Thomas S.
