James Nova, the Grammy Award-winning Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra's second/utility trombone since 2009, is set to bring his extraordinary talent to UNCSA. Known for his passion for arranging and multi-track recording, Nova has released dozens of virtuosic tracks, showcasing his challenging arrangements for trombone choir.
At his upcoming performance, Nova will present a diverse program featuring solo trombone works with UNCSA faculty pianist Allison Gagnon and collaborative arrangements with UNCSA Low Brass faculty members John Ilika and Brent Harvey and their students, including beloved movie score favorites.
