Julia is a second-year Production Design student within the School of Filmmaking. She is from Charlotte, North Carolina. Before coming to UNCSA for Filmmaking, she attended several UNCSA summer sessions for Drama. Her favorite part of UNCSA is getting to work with a wide variety of artists to make art that makes a statement.
What advice would you give to prospective students?
The best advice I can give is to work hard and not take yourself so seriously because we are all here to learn and grow into better people and artists. Also, being open to failure is one of my biggest takeaways because it’s not about how many times you fail, it’s about how many times you get back up.
Why did you want to become an Ambassador?
I want to help other people find where they belong, and the outreach as an ambassador gives me the ability to help someone like me fall in love with this school.
