Mariah is a fourth-year Contemporary Dance major in the undergraduate program. She is originally from Long Island, New York, but feels at home at UNCSA. Her love for the school is apparent through her extensive involvement with Welcome Squad and the Peer Mentor program in the Dance Department.
What made you decide to come to UNCSA?
I decided to come to UNCSA because during my initial visit to campus, everything and everyone I encountered thrilled me. The whole place felt electric with creativity and potential. I wanted nothing more than to get to be a part of this thriving community of artists.
What are your favorite things about the school?
One thing, among many, that I love about this school is that it encourages the development of its students first as people, then artists, then artists within a specific discipline.
