Tyree Nesbitt, a native of Summerville, South Carolina, is pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Saxophone Performance at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts studying with Dr. Robert Young. He has participated in myriad youth ensembles and competitions including the 2021 North Carolina Music Teachers National Association Competition and the National Association of Negro Musicians, Inc., 2022 competition.
His love for performance has also allowed him the opportunity to perform with the Winston-Salem and Piedmont Wind Symphonies. One of Tyree’s main goals in life is to spread his love and joy for music with others to inspire people like he was inspired.
