Schedule a Campus Tour
The University of North Carolina School of the Arts encourages you to "step on our stage" before applying. On our campus tours you will see each of the art schools and some of the common areas such as Hanes Student Commons, the Library and dining spots. An Admissions Counselor will be available after the tour to answer questions about the application process.
Weekday Campus Visits
Tours are offered on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Please schedule your tour a day ahead so we know you are coming.
All tours are walking tours. The campus is on a hill so you'll have your ups and downs.
A general tour of the campus is about 1 hour and 30 minutes. If special assistance
is required, please contact the Office of Admissions a week ahead of your planned
Meet in the Welcome Center lobby located near the South Main Street entrance. Parking is available in the Welcome Center parking lot.
There are no Saturday, Sunday or Monday tours. There will be no tours the following dates:
- November 18, 2016–January 10, 2017— Due to Exams and Intensive Arts
- March 4–12, 2017 — Due to Spring Break
- March 23 & 24, 2017 — Due to Open House
- May 1, 2017 — Tours end and will resume during summer session
If your group is more than 7 people, we ask that you request a group tour. We are happy to accommodate your group and we ask that you please contact Bill Poole by email at email@example.com at least 2 weeks in advance of your proposed visit date. You will be contacted to discuss and confirm group tour requests. Minimum grade level for group tours is 10th grade.

To observe classes, you must call or email to make arrangements with the arts department ahead of your scheduled visit:

Tours may be canceled due to inclement weather during winter months. Please call (336) 770-3399 to ensure that a tour will be conducted.
