ARCH Program

ARCH Program

The Artists Reaching Children in Hospitals (ARCH) Program at UNCSA connects students with patients at Brenner Children's Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C.

UNCSA high school Drama students and alumnus Richard 'Dikki' Ellis '78 make visits to the hospital multiple times a year to perform for, interact with, and engage young patients in artistic and creative activities. This interaction helps young patients cope with the anxiety of being in a hospital.

It's all about giving back what we've already been given.

In Fall 2021 and Spring 2022, UNCSA students presented ARCH virtually to give the children at Brenner Children's Hospital the ARCH experience, despite not being able to attend in person.
