A graduate of Boise State University, Chris Woods is currently a trumpet performance graduate student at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. He has been teaching private lessons & performing in the community for the last decade, and hosting clinics for the past 6 years.
A versatile musician in many genres, Woods has performed the Blue Thunder Marching Band, the Canyon County Symphony, and in musicals such as SpongeBob The Musical. Woods has recorded multiple performances and has experience improvising in his recordings including on Optiflynn’s latest two albums and their 2023 performance at TreeFort Music Festival. Woods is also an experienced educator. His students have successfully auditioned into youth symphonies, All State Conference Ensembles & Undergraduate Music programs.
