Will Henderson

Will Henderson III is the interim Admissions Liaison for the School of Dance, as well as a UNCSA alumnus and former Student Ambassador. Henderson graduated from the School of Filmmaking, but immersed himself in the programs of each conservatory in his time as a student ambassador. He took a particular interest in the school of dance, in large part due to the incredible performances he was able to see as a student.

As a film director, Henderson’s main passion is the opportunity to work with others to reach common goals. He wants to now take that passion to aid every prospective student in the application process by providing knowledge and support. As Dance Liaison, he is your go to for any questions or concerns about the application process or the dance program itself, both undergraduate and high school.

What excites you about your job?

I love the opportunity to connect with and assist others. My plan right now is to attend graduate school to become a professor, and so working with students at the undergraduate level is something I’m very much interested in.

What is your favorite spot on UNCSA campus?

Both the library and library cafe. The library is gorgeous and always so peaceful, not to mention the lovely view from the fourth floor. The cafe staff is the best, and the muffins and smoothies never let me down.

How about Winston-Salem?

I love movies, and the best spot in town to catch an indie feature is without a doubt A/perture cinema on 4th street. I also love a peaceful walk in nature, so Reynolda is another great spot.

If you were on a deserted island and could bring 3 things, what would you bring?

A book of poetry, a pen, and a notebook to fill with thoughts/poems (unless there would be electricity; which in that case I would bring a phone filled with endless music, a charger, and headphones).
