High School Strings

As a student in the high school string program at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, you will be part of a community of hardworking musicians, dedicated to their instruments and becoming fine artists. Your peers in the School of Music and the string department will be diverse, coming from across the state, across the country and across the globe. You will work side by side with musicians from eastern North Carolina, Israel, Germany and China, all sharing one thing – the joy of mastering your craft. The high school academic program is highly valued as an integral component in the education of our students. High school students earn a diploma with the option to add the “Concentration in Music” designation.
