PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The mission of the MFA in Production and Project Management (PPM) at UNCSA is to provide students with sound general business management and leadership training in production, people, and project management in order to develop inspired leaders who will work responsibly in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors to manage and lead a wide variety of art projects and creative business endeavors. The PPM program affords management students the opportunity to gain direct, on-campus access to the disciplines of theatre, dance, music and film in an academic and performance environment, that no other program or school can offer. Students may also work on in-class projects with creative companies such as Disney, Cirque du Soleil, and others, in order to learn how to apply the people, project and management skills within for-profit environments.

The curriculum model shown here represents the minimum coursework required for this program. It is expected that students meet with their Arts Advisor regularly to ensure the correct coursework is attempted and completed. Any transfer coursework must be evaluated before it may be applied to your UNCSA transcript and degree requirements, and will be reflected in your DegreeWorks profile.
