High School Dance student Liam Hutt is no stranger to the spotlight. He's been dancing since he was two and was touring the country in musical theater by age 12. At UNCSA, he launched his career in ballet and pushed the boundaries of gender expectations in the dance form.

UNCSA is commemorating the 60th anniversary of the two-day "Dial for Dollars" phone-a-thon that brought the school to Winston-Salem in conjunction with its annual "Days of Giving" taking place April 10-11

Katherine Nettles was just ten years old when she discovered the UNCSA School of Dance. Nettles went on to attend two summer sessions before auditioning for the high school dance program. As her final "Nutcracker" and her final spring semester swiftly approach, she reflects on her meaningful ballet journey.

It was February 2022, and Uliana "Ulia" Klimchuk anxiously awaited a decision from the School of Drama. The Ukrainian native auditioned virtually for the program at the suggestion of a teacher. On Feb. 24, Director of Recruitment Quin Gordon pressed 'send' on an acceptance email that would remain unopened for weeks.

Design and Production faculty member Yoon Bae was part of the winning team that represented the U.S. at the 2023 Prague Quadrennial. The team's exhibit was showcased as part of the best contemporary scenographic works from around the world.

Four years ago, Filmmaking graduate Rohit Lila Ram arrived at UNCSA from Karachi, Pakistan, carrying only two suitcases. On Saturday, May 6, 2023, he departs with his diploma, a C.V. teeming with projects, positions and accolades and an enormous community of mentors, friends and colleagues.
