Extraordinary works of art — a Verdi aria, an Arthur Miller play, or a Damien Hirst installation — rouse the soul and shine light on the unexplored corners of our shared human experience. Thank you for believing in the transformative power of art, and thank you for your generous and sustaining support of University of North Carolina School of the Arts, the nation’s first and only public arts conservatory.
For more than 50 years, UNCSA has been a cornerstone of Winston-Salem’s creative and performing arts community. The Stevens Center — a magnificently restored downtown theatre — is our primary performance space, which we proudly share with the Winston-Salem Symphony and the Piedmont Opera. We also host public concerts and performances at our campus theaters, performance halls and studios.
If you believe in our mission — to raise up the next generation of world-changing young musicians, designers, actors and filmmakers — then join the cause! We are always looking for volunteers to help organize community events or provide shooting locations for a student film. We also greatly appreciate gifts and donations of all sizes. Your contribution ensures that UNCSA will continue serving talented young artists and the Winston-Salem arts community for another 50 years.
