Hosted by the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and the Thomas S. Kenan Institute for the Arts, the residency centers on AI and the work of acclaimed choreographer and Martha Graham Dance Company member Xin Ying, in collaboration with Mimi Yin and NUUM Collective. The event will bring together artists, technologists, legal scholars and industry leaders to examine the ethical, legal, technical and creative implications of AI for the arts.

UNCSA String Faculty

The string faculty of UNCSA sends everyone our warmest greetings as we all rise together to face the challenges of this difficult moment. 

Here at UNCSA, we have dedicated our spring to delivering the highest level of music instruction through online studio lessons and master classes along with presentations, recording projects, remote collaborations and live stream recitals. While live studio instruction is always best, we have been inspired by the vitality and creativity our students and teachers have shown in embracing the online medium.

Although the pandemic has kept us physically apart, the determination of the UNCSA community has kept us together in spirit—full of excitement about our music-making, our careers, and our connections with each other.  We wish you a healthy and happy summer—may we all make music together in person soon.
