The University maintains a 20,600 sq. ft. Fitness Center where students can learn, play, workout or get fit in group classes.
Orientation sessions to familiarize yourself with operating equipment are offered. To request an orientation session, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Note: The gymnasium is being repurposed for classroom and rehearsal spaces due to the renovations of Alex C. Ewing Performance Place. Weight room, fitness equipment and aerobics studio are open.
Hours of operation
During the Fall and Spring Academic Year, hours are:
Monday-Thursday: 6:30 a.m.-10 p.m.
Friday: 6:30 a.m.-8 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Sunday: noon-10 p.m.
Summer Seasonal hours start after high school graduation and in between Summer Intensive session:
- Monday–Friday: 6:30–9 a.m.; 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m.; 4–7 p.m.
- Closed on weekends
Summer Intensive hours are from June 21–July 25, 2020:
- Monday–Friday: 6:30–9 a.m.; 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m.; 4–9 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday: noon–9 p.m.
The Fitness Center will be closed during the Winter Break.
The first week of January, the Fitness Center will be open Wednesday, Jan. 2-Friday, Jan. 3, 2020 during these hours:
- 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
- 4:30 p.m.-7 p.m.
- Closed on weekend of Jan. 4-5, 2020
