Advancement publication wins award for campaign case statement

CASE statementThe UNCSA Office of Advancement, led by Vice Chancellor Edward J. Lewis, has won a Special Merit Award for its campaign case statement in the 2018–19 Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District III awards competition.

The case statement, titled “Powering Creativity: The Campaign for UNCSA,” competed in the Fundraising Publication Category. It was developed for the university’s comprehensive fundraising campaign, currently in its quiet phase.

The publication was created through a collaboration with Ologie, a firm that produces fundraising communications; the Office of Advancement; and what is now the Division of Strategic Communications.

CASE District III, which covers the Southeastern United States, received more than 900 entries that “captured the incredible quality of work taking place in our district,” according to the Awards/Literature Exchange Committee.

Other winners in the Fundraising Publication Category included: The University of Alabama, Grand Prize, “The Giving Effect 2017”; Campbell University, Award of Excellence, “Campbell Leads” campaign case statements; University of Tennessee, Award of Excellence, “Development Officer’s Folder”; Auburn University, Special Merit, “Jordan-Hare Stadium Recognition Opportunities”; and Mary Baldwin University, Special Merit, “Invest for Impact” infographic.

All award winners will be recognized at the CASE District III Conference in Atlanta on Feb. 26.
