SHRA voluntary conversion to EPS Status
Senate Bill 195, aka UNC Omnibus Bill, is now law. The change in the statute provides an exemption from most provisions of the NC State Human Resources Act for all remaining SHRA university employees designated as FLSA exempt (exempt from receiving overtime).
Human Resources will be reaching out to all SHRA Exempt employees within the next month or so to discuss this in more detail. However, if you are currently SHRA – Exempt and want to convert to EPS, or SHRA – Exempt and wish to remain SHRA, please contact Amanda Rutledge in Human Resources at rutledgea@uncsa.edu.
Once you reach out, Human Resources will contact your supervisor to ensure we have an updated position description. Once this is confirmed, you will receive the UNCSA Election Form to complete. Below is the Comparison of Employment Policies for SHRA and EPS (previously EHRA non-faculty) for review.
