Learning humility has been a huge journey for me and I didn't expect this until I
worked with children. I see a reflection of myself when I'm working with children
who have a clean slate and are keen to learn, explore and share. The experience keeps
me humble and the fact that they love you is some kind of an unknown validation that
I personally get. Once a kid said "I love your ponytail, how long did it take you",
and now I'm "Mr.Rohit with the ponytail". The associations and observations that they
make are magical. The more I work with these students on integrating the arts into
the curriculum, the more I continue to learn and hope I can be a better role model
and serve them the best I can.
