ArtistCorps
Office of Community Engagement
Community engagement enhances and enriches the artistic experience of our students while expanding the creative capacity of our community.
The primary community engagement initiative at UNCSA is ArtistCorps, a program which utilizes the skills of UNCSA students and graduates to provide arts instruction, integration and exposure to school-aged children and seniors in the Winston-Salem community. ArtistCorps serves at a variety of settings including Title I Schools, Head Start programs, and community organizations.
Each Spring, ArtistCorps members reflect on their year of service and the impact it has had on them, our institution and our community. Due to Covid-19, we have moved our Celebration of Service to this online format.
