Scene Painting & Scenic Art

Students in the Scenic Art and Scene Painting concentrations transform raw materials into richly detailed worlds for the stage. At the undergraduate level, the hands-on Scene Painting concentration — one of the only programs of its kind — grounds students in the craft, artistry and management skills essential to professional scenic practice. As the only graduate scenic art program in the nation, UNCSA prepares artists for careers as scenic artists, scenic charges and creative leaders across theater, cultural institutions and academia.
