Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem provides a “home-away-from-home” in our House and Family Rooms for families of children who are receiving medical care in our community. 

Volunteer opportunities: Family room volunteers at Brenner and Forsyth (greet guests, monitor check-ins, keep kitchen stocked); House volunteers (light housekeeping, sorting donations, yard work, cleaning, painting); Family support volunteers (Bingo night, crafts, talent shows to entertain families); meal preparation (bag lunches of any type of sandwich and a snack for family rooms, meals for families in the house once restrictions are lifted). Large groups are welcome. 

Volunteer information: On-campus volunteering is currently suspended, but when it returns, volunteers will more than likely have a COVID vaccination requirement. Volunteer application is available via the website.
