Bekah Downing is a choreographer, teacher, and dance artist based in Winston-Salem. Her work has been presented at LadyFest Dance Festival, Talent on the Move Tour, Emotion and Soul Film Festival, Barnard College and YAGP. She studied ballet and contemporary at UNCSA (2009) before receiving her B.F.A. in the Netherlands at Codarts Hogeschool voor de Kunsten (2013).
She has performed with The San Francisco Symphony, Opera Omaha, Mari Meade Dance, Helen Simoneau Danse, Gulia Mureddu and Lonneke Van Leth. When she is not in the studio, Bekah co-owns an urban farm in downtown Winston-Salem and teaches yoga in the community.
