Clyde Howell is the admissions counselor liaison for the School of Dance and for International Students. Clyde confirms all dance auditions each fall as well as processes all required documentation for all dance applicants. You will see him at the on-campus auditions and information sessions during those on-campus events.
What do you love about your job?
I get a sense of satisfaction by assisting in the application process for those who dream of becoming an accomplished, highly-skilled dancer.
What are some of your favorites at UNCSA and in the area?
- Favorite spot on campus: the Library
- Favorite UNCSA tradition: the Nutcracker Ballet, of course
- Favorite spots in Winston-Salem: Downtown on Fourth Street as well as checking out art shops and restaurants along Trade Street.
What would your perfect day look like?
One of my perfect days consists of tending garden at home, going to check out a film and then preparing a great meal to end the day.
Where can we meet you on the road?
I travel to many places during the NACAC College Fair fall season and high school visits on behalf of UNCSA. Travel takes me to Seattle, Nashville, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Chicago, Atlanta, Ft. Lauderdale, Charlotte, eastern North Carolina just to name a few.
