A native of Belarus, Dr. Polina Khatsko enjoys a career as an active performer and a dedicated teacher. Currently on staff at UNCSA and Wake Forest University School of Music, she serves as a pianist for the annual Sphinx International Competition and works regularly with the Piedmont Opera. Khatsko served on the piano faculty of the University of Northern Iowa, the University of Michigan preparatory department and Leipzig Summer Piano Institute.
She has held collaborative piano faculty appointments at the International Music Academy in Pilsen, Czech Republic, Cambridge International String Academy, England and the University of Michigan string department. Khatsko received her education from the Belarusian State Academy of Music and University of Michigan, studying with Arthur Greene, Vladimir Doulov and Ariadna Guzhalovskaya.
