Stacy Payne

Stacy Payne joined UNCSA in June 2019, first as Director of Strategic Initiatives and now as Producing Director for the Media + Emerging Technology Lab (METL). With over fifteen years of experience in leadership roles with non-profit arts organizations, Stacy leads the strategic vision and external partnerships for METL, producing projects throughout the community and across campus that support innovative artistic and social initiatives focused on exploration, engagement and transformational change

Stacy brings long-term working relationships with state arts organizations and leaders as well as national foundations and funders such as Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, National Endowment for the Arts, National Endowment for the Humanities, Shubert Foundation and Golden LEAF Foundation. She has raised over $26M for the arts by spearheading sustainability and capacity-building endowment campaigns.
