I am committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for our students. My goal is to promote overall wellness, both physical and emotional, and to provide thoughtful, responsive care as students navigate the unique demands of training in the arts. I truly enjoy being part of the UNCSA community and supporting students through the many stages of their high school and college journeys.

As Medical Director of the UNCSA Wellness Center, I oversee clinical operations while continuing to provide direct care to students as a nurse practitioner. My goal is to help students stay healthy, safe, and able to perform at their highest potential so they can fully engage in their artistic training. I’ve spent most of my life in healthcare, beginning in Mexico as a physical therapist and later working as a trauma ICU nurse at a local Level I trauma center. My passion for patient care led me to pursue an advanced degree in nursing, and after several years as a nurse practitioner, I found a strong passion for working with adolescents and young adults.

Working with students at the School of the Arts is especially meaningful to me. I really enjoy being part of a community where creativity, discipline, and dedication come together. Our students’ talent, resilience, and commitment to their craft never cease to impress me, and it’s a privilege to support them as they pursue their goals.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and my two kids, who keep life fun, busy, and full of perspective.
