The William R. Kenan, Jr. Fellowship at Lincoln Center Education(formerly Lincoln Center Institute) seeks to provide emerging artists with practical
knowledge and experience as artists embarking on a career and as educators in the
field of arts and education in New York City. The Fellows' immersion in Lincoln Center
Education (LCE) includes the following experiences: working as a member of the team
to help implement LCE’s annual Summer Forum, participating as a teaching assistant
at Lincoln Center’s annual Arts Audition Boot Camp for middle school students, learning
about LCE’s pedagogy through working with mentor teaching artists and creating a sample
lesson plan that will be implemented, and presenting artistic work as part of a collaborative
effort with other Fellows.
