Building Community

Employee Tours - The Quality Workplace Committee offers tours periodically of parts of campus to the staff and faculty to build an understanding of what the different areas of campus do and to offer a space for people to meet people they may not meet otherwise.

Dinner on Us - (Sept. 2020-May 2021) Rewarded employees who completed the required daily COVID-19 Daily Self-Assessment Checklist. Monthly, a staff and a faculty name was drawn and each selected recipient received a $50 gift card to a local restaurant that could be used for dine-in or take-out meal options. 

Lunch on Us - (2018 & 2019 academic years) This successful initiative began by offering a monthly gather of a small group of faculty and staff members selected from a lottery to gather together in the Dining Hall for a complimentary meal and conversation. Its popularity grew to offering several Lunch on Us meet-and-eat opportunities.

Creating the UNCSA Values Statement

The Quality Workplace Committee had focus groups of staff, faculty and students to give input on the values that make UNCSA a special place. Learn about the UNCSA Values.
