Devising "Inheritance": Students connect from a distance

Students from the schools of Drama and Design & Production collaborated to create a new devised work, "Inheritance," that was safely performed for an in-person audience in Fall 2020 at Brookstown Inn in Winston-Salem.

Creating "Inheritance" provided a meaningful way for students to reflect on the world that has been passed down to them, and what they will leave behind for the next generation. A distanced audience watched from the courtyard through the windows of the Inn, as the characters' stories unfolded, interconnected across their siloed spaces.

Discover how "Inheritance" was safely performed in this behind-the-scenes feature.
