UNCSA Film student describes creative vision behind “Perfect Fit”

A screenwriter is a master storyteller who is responsible for converting a narrative into a well-crafted script. Their task is not only to capture the essence of the plot but also to convey the emotional depth of the characters. For fourth-year Filmmaking student Josie Lovage, screenwriting is an art form that allows her to bring unique and nuanced stories to life.

In this behind-the-scenes look at the film “Perfect Fit,” Lovage shares the process of crafting a poignant narrative about twin sisters, Naomi and Alexa, who switch roles for a day. The story delves into the intricate lives of female characters as they navigate the complexities of love and relationships.

Lovage’s creative vision for the film extends beyond its storyline, using the project as a platform to amplify queer stories. As such, “Perfect Fit” celebrates diversity and inclusivity, underscoring the significance of elevating underrepresented voices in both film and television.
