Performance Overview
Piano faculty member Dmitri Vorobiev delivers a not-to-be-missed concert presenting the last three piano sonatas, Op. 109, Op. 110 and Op. 111, by celebrated composer Ludwig van Beethoven. These immortal and monumental works offer a look at the characters, moods and emotions present throughout Beethoven’s career. The three sonatas also serve as a window to the Romantic era. Listeners will be challenged to find a personal connection to each work, symbolizing the genius of one of the greatest composers in classical music.
