Join virtuoso singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tony Furtado for an unforgettable evening at the Muddy Creek Listening Room in Old Salem. Furtado is known for his work on banjo, cello-banjo, slide guitar and baritone ukulele.

Inspired by “The Beverly Hillbillies,” he began playing banjo at age 12. He first gained national attention in 1987 after winning the National Bluegrass Banjo Championship. Since then, Furtado has performed at major venues around the world and appeared at leading festivals including Telluride Bluegrass Festival, High Sierra Music Festival, Jazz Aspen, Kerrville Folk Festival, Strawberry Music Festival, Winnipeg Folk Festival, Sisters Folk Festival and San Jose Jazz Festival — among many others.

Furtado is joined by mandolinist Matt Flinner and fiddler Luke Price, both longtime collaborators in acoustic and roots-based music traditions.
