Performance Overview

A powerful evening of music and reflection brings together a wide array of artists in celebration of International Women’s Day.

This collaborative concert features faculty and students in performances and readings centered on women composers, performers and artists — highlighting music and words that connect the audience to themes of women’s rights and equality.

The program includes pieces by living composers Amanda Harberg and Alyssa Morris, along with favorites by Isabella Leonarda and Pauline Viardot and others.

Through shared artistry and dialogue on stage, space is created for connection, perspective and recognition of voices shaping the musical and cultural landscape today. Special guests from Carrie Hart’s Women and Gender Studies class provide cross discipline collaboration for this unique concert experience.
