Andre Portis is a North Carolina-born tenor and third-year undergraduate student in the Voice Program at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where he studies under Professor Phyllis Pancella. Growing up in a musical family, Andre discovered his love for music through singing in church, school choirs, and All-County, All-State, and Honors Choirs.
Andre has a deep love for performing and enjoys bringing stories to life through both opera and musical theatre. He is passionate about the stage and the connection it creates with audiences.
As an artist, Andre hopes to share his gift and empower others through music. He believes there is music in all of us and that sharing it can inspire connection and bring people together.
