Bri Lanzen

Bri Lanzen is a fourth-year undergraduate student in the School of Filmmaking with a concentration in special effects. She is originally from Cary, North Carolina, but has spent the last four years making Winston-Salem her home. She’s excited to welcome you!

What is your favorite place to go in Winston and why?

Reynolda Village is my favorite place in the city. It’s the place to go if you need some time in nature after a busy week. There are lots of trails to walk, a beautiful greenhouse and a couple great places to pick up a sweet treat (shout out to Dough-Joe’s amazing donuts)!

What advice would you give to prospective students?

The best piece of advice I can give to prospective students is to never be afraid to take the road less traveled in your program. If there’s a dream project you have and there isn’t a clear path already there, talk to your mentor and classmates about it anyway! Chances are they’ll support you in finding a way to make those dreams a reality.
