Isa Newport is a young, aspiring artist from Tallahassee, FL. Her professional training took flight at UNCSA, where she has grown immensely as a mover and creator. Over the past four years, she has performed work by Shen Wei, Martha Graham, Merce Cunningham and Trish Brown.
Though she recognizes dance as her first love, she has taken new interests in dramaturgy and interdisciplinary collaborations. During the fall of 2019, she started developing different bodies of work that bring awareness to non-consensual intimate encounters. After graduation, she hopes to study with different companies in Europe and get certified as an intimacy coordinator.
