Jeyne Figueroa is a second year student at UNCSA, pursuing a bachelor's in Clarinet Performance.
Jeyne was born and raised in Houston, Texas, into a family of musicians. Her musical journey began at age six when she started taking piano lessons; however, she switched to clarinet at age 11 and has now been playing clarinet for 8 years.
Throughout her years of playing, she has been recognized at the state level in Texas through the Texas All-state band, and through University ensembles such as The University of Houston Honors project. She is also a recipient of the Posse Arts Foundation Scholarship. A scholarship that recognizes students through leadership.
Jeyne is passionate in her personal music studies, alongside with giving back to the community, whether that be in mentorship or performing. She wants to make music accessible to all.
