Katie Gaven is an actor, singer, writer and avid "Survivor" watcher from Los Angeles, California. Her glorious debut as “the fish” in "Pinocchio The Musical" at the age of six, ignited her deep love and passion for theatre.
Above all, Katie prioritizes being a kind human being and embracing her work with joy and true sense of play. Katie went to Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Camp for eight years where she got to play a courtesan in "A Funny Thing Happened"… at the ripe age of 15.
In addition to theatre, Katie has had the opportunity to do a large amount of student films during her time at UNCSA, which has inspired an equal passion for on-camera work. Katie is a six times published playwright who also loves directing and is putting up her original play "00:45:00" at UNCSA in April.
This fall, Katie is playing The Countess in "A Little Night Music," Charlotte in "Beyond Therapy" and Dawn in "Lobby Hero." She is also very excited to be portraying Rachael in "Appropriate" during her spring semester. Katie is thrilled to be in the process of emerging into the artistic world, and can’t wait to see what will come of this incredible journey.
