M-Alain Bertoni (they/them) is a multi-racial storyteller specializing in genre-bending narratives, often centered around family dynamics and self-identity. Their films have screened in programming by the NYC Filmmakers Co-Op, Panic Fest, Chattanooga Film Festival, and the Yale in Hollywood Festival.
As a producer, M seeks to champion bold, emerging filmmakers that embrace their unique lived experiences to create radical narratives.
M-Alain holds a B.A. in Film and Media Studies from Yale University and an M.F.A. in Creative Producing from UNC School of the Arts. Outside of filmmaking, M has a passion for community engagement and education, which they channel through their participation in the DOSE Artist Collective and the UNCSA ArtistCorps.
